Fort Worth Interior & Exterior Staining Services | Commercial and Residential |
We offer Residential staining & Commercial staining services. In this post we’re going to discuss the staining of fences, decks, arbors, exterior’s of homes, buildings, etc. etc.
We get asked quite often what we offer regarding staining residential exteriors, so we thought make a brief post about what we offer and what the processes are for accomplishing the tasks
1. Our Staining Process:
a. First our process is to inspect the deck for any rotted wood that needs replacing. Yes, that’s a service we also offer. Then we’ll move on to pressure washing to remove all of the debris from oak trees, sap, etc. etc. Once that’s completed we’ll determine whether or not it needs to be stripped of any old stain or paint. If we determine that it does we’ll then use either belt sanders or and industrial stripping machine to take the deck down to bare wood. It may sound like a rather lengthy process but it’s not really that complicated. Once it’s completely bare again then we can pressure wash it on more time to remove all dirt, sawdust and debris. Our final and finish coat is stain. We recommend using a Sherwin Williams exterior stain called “Woodscapes”. It comes in solid, transparent, etc. It’s a high quality product that we’ve used on homes, fences, decks, and pretty much any other wood surface you can think of.
2. The same process applies to not just decks, but fences, arbors, pergolas, planter boxes, and entire exteriors of homes. We’ve stained 100’s of homes and decks/fences over the years.
3. The only time the process above is not used is when the deck and or fence is new. With that said if you’re in the market for a new deck, pergola, arbor, outdoor kitchen, we can build those as well. Contact us for details.
Our Staining Projects:
Below you’ll find a number of staining projects we’ve done over the years, if you have questions we have answers. Also, feel free to leave a comment if you wish. We look forward to working with you on your project.
In the photos below you’ll see a patio table that we built and stained/sealed for a client. He just wanted a simple table for his back porch and he had quite a bit of cedar laying around. Turned out fantastic.

The following photos are of a deck we built and then stained for an amazing client that has a historic home near TCU.

The photos below are a fence staining project we did for an HOA. It was a brand new fence so we simply pressure washed it, allowed it to dry and then applied 2 coats of Sherwin Williams exterior stain.

As you can see we’re not really limited to any surfaces as far as staining is concerned. We also have probably another 400 or so projects that we took photos of but you get the point. If you have a deck or fence staining project you’re looking to do feel free to contact us via phone or our contact us page. We look forward to earning your business.
*Exterior stain installations are not covered by our 5 year warranty. (Meaning decks, fences, arbors, shutters, etc.) Due to weather, sun, heat cold, exterior staining products simply are not going to hold up for 5 years. Ultimately the stain will fade out over time. More often than not exterior wood will need to be stained at least every 1-3 years. Please keep this in mind when considering exterior stain.
