Q. How much would it cost to paint the exterior of my home?

a. Depending on the size of the home you can expect to pay somewhere between $2,500.00 and $12,000.00. The price is determined by many factors such as, home size, prep work, how many colors, etc. A 2000 square foot exterior would cost between $3,500.00 and $8,500.00.

Q. How long would it take to paint my homes exterior?

a. For example, a 2000 square foot home would take between 3-5 days. That is contingent on how much prep and if there are any surfaces such as rotted wood to be replaced. You also have to factor in primers, how many designated colors, etc. Here’s the process….

Pressure washing
Replacing any and all rotted wood or siding and making required repairs.
Covering all surfaces that are not to be painted, this would, this would include paper, tape, drop cloths, plastic, etc.
If needed scrape all loose paint of of the home and prime bare spots.
Move all Furniture, cover all ground areas, and cover all windows.
If needed, prime all newly installed wood or siding with a Sherwin Williams exterior primer.
Install a new paint finish coat, occasionally 2 coats will be required and that is determined by the existing paint color on the home.
To finish, clean all work areas and move all furniture back. Along with removing all tape and paper, drop cloths.

Q. How long have you been in business?

A. We started out strictly as a painting contractor in 1991 and over the years we were constantly being asked what other services we offered so in 1998 we added remodeling & renovations as additional services. To date we’ve painted and repaired 1000’s of homes and businesses.

Q. Does your company perform handyman work?

A. Yes, it really just depends on the project for the most part. Below you’ll find a short list.

Q. Can you give me a quote for a painting or remodeling project over the phone?

A. We generally can’t offer a reliable quote over the phone and here’s why. There are a lot of factors that go into our profession. For instance, with regard to painting we need to actually view the surfaces to be painted. Prep is the most important part of any painting project and we can’t reliably see it over the phone so there’s no accurate way for us to quote it. For the most part that also pertains to repairs as well. With all that said, we can give you a “guesstimate” over the phone with the understanding that the number we offer may go up or may go down.

Q. Does your company install windows?

A. Below you’ll find a list of the types of window services we offer.

Q. Does your company do drywall/sheetrock repairs and installations?

A. Absolutely, we can install and repair drywall/sheetrock along with taping and bedding and of course painting the affected area.

Q. I have a project that needs to be done by the end of next week, can you get to it that quickly?

A. Depending on the project, maybe. Generally speaking we stay booked out with work approximately 2-3 weeks in advance. The only caveat to that would be is if we have a cancellation.

Q. Once your company gives a quote on a project, how long is the quote good for?

A. Industry standard is 30 days, due to market fluctuations and other factors that is what our quotes are good for as well.

Q. What brand of paint does your company use?

A. Our company has used Sherwin Williams paints and stains for over 25 years. We really like their products and we also like the fact that they are readily available and are just all around great products. With that said we are open to using other brands such as Benjamin Moore.

Q. We have a painting and remodeling/renovation project that we would like to do but we would like to buy the materials, can we do that?

A. We don’t mind if you buy the materials but our 5 year warranty will not cover the materials you purchased. It will only cover the labor for any warranty work.

Q. We would like all new kitchen and bathroom cabinets, does your company do that kind of work?

A. Yes, while we don’t build the cabinets in house we do sub contract it out with a cabinet builder that we’ve worked with for at least a dozen years. Below you’ll find a list of cabinet services we provide.

Q. Does your company build decks?

Q. Does your company accept credit/Debit cards?

A. Yes, we accept all major credit and debit cards.

Q. Does your company typically spray or roll when painting an interior or exterior?

A. In most instances we will spray an exterior and if a home or business is occupied then we will roll and brush most interiors.

Q. I need help with choosing a paint color, can your company guide me as to where to go and make a choice?

A. Absolutely, we typically carry paint color decks in our trucks and also we’re more than happy to recommend paint color choices. There are also lots of free apps out there that will allow you to upload photos of different rooms in your home or office and you can choose colors that way. Lastly you can always visit a paint store such as Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore and make a choice that way. The possibilities are endless.

Q. Will your company make required repairs prior to painting?

A. Yes, be interior or exterior painting or remodeling we will always make any required repairs before finishing the surface. We can repair, rotted wood, hardi siding, base, molding, door jambs and more.

Q. Can I expect an estimate for my home or business in a timely fashion?

A. Yes, our free estimates are generally delivered via email within 2 days of us coming out a viewing the project.

Q. Does your company use sub-contractors on your painting or repair projects?

A. As a general rule no we don’t. With that said we do sub out some aspects of the remodeling portion of our business. With regard to painting we never use sub-contractors. The only time we use sub-contractors is when we’re doing kitchen or bathroom repairs and the project requires new counter tops or cabinets. Those specific items we do not make or install in house.

Q. Does your company work with unusual requests?

A. In a word, Yes we can work with unusual requests. For instance, just within the last few months we had a client that had a old tennis court in their backyard. They contacted us to see if we could paint it to make it look like a life sized Monopoly board. We accommodated that request and the client was ecstatic.

Q. Does your company work weekends?

A. Yes we will but it depends on the project. We will work nights though. For instance we just painted a blood donation center and a retail clothing store at night due to the businesses being open during the day. Contact us and lets discuss your painting or repair project.

Q. Does your company offer free paint color consultations?

A. Absolutely, in addition to free paint color consultations we also offer free consultations for any repair projects as well. This would include all residential and commercial properties as well.

Q. Does your company do interior sheetrock repairs?

A. Of course, we repair sheetrock/drywall all the time. Sometimes it is required before we can properly prep it for painting. We also do texture repairs.

Q. Does your company offer exterior staining services?

A. Yes, we offer interior and exterior staining services for all commercial and residential properties. Below you’ll find a list of the surfaces we can stain.

A. Absolutely! We’ve painted and repaired dozens of homes near TCU and also near the hospital district.
